Management Training

Practical training for managers, boards, and committees in Uganda: reading the numbers, running the controls, buying under PPDA and donor rules, and keeping the records an auditor will ask for.

Training built on your own files, so it still applies on Monday.

Many audit findings trace back to a manager who signed without knowing what the signature was meant to prove. Kisaka & Company trains managers, heads of department, board members, and committee members in Kampala and across Uganda, using the budgets, reports, and procurement files they already work with.

Each programme is built around your organisation and the rules that apply to it: the PPDA Act and public finance rules for a public body, the donor manual for a project, your own policies for a company. We do not issue accredited certificates we cannot back. Training for internal-audit teams sits on our internal audit and training page.

At a glance

What you can expect when Kisaka & Company designs a management training programme.

Your files, not a textbook

We teach from your budgets, management accounts, and procurement files, anonymised where needed, so people practise on the documents they actually sign.

The rules that apply to you

PPDA, public finance rules, a donor manual, or your board charter: we agree which rules are in scope before we write a single slide.

Cohorts by role

A board member, a head of department, and an evaluation committee need different depth. We agree who is in the room before we set the timetable.

Management training services

Illustrative scope — the curriculum depends on your organisation, the rules in force, and who attends. We confirm deliverables in an engagement letter before work begins.

Finance for non-finance managers

Reading a budget, management accounts, and a variance report; spotting a cash-flow problem before it arrives; and the questions to put to the finance team.

Discuss scope

Internal controls for managers

Approvals, segregation of duties, and reconciliations taught from the manager’s side, so the people who sign know what their signature is meant to prove.

Discuss scope

Procurement under PPDA & donor rules

Methods, thresholds, evaluation committees, and the procurement file from plan to contract, under the PPDA Act or the donor rules you name in the brief.

Discuss scope

Boards & governance

Board and committee roles, reading an audit report and a management letter, and following up findings until they are closed.

How we run the engagement

A short design cycle so the training matches the rules and files your teams already use.

01

Agree the audience

We confirm who will attend, which rules apply, and which audit findings or weak files you want the training to fix.

02

Design the programme

We write the timetable, exercises, and case material, using your templates where you can share them, and agree duration, venue, and any pre-reading.

03

Run the sessions

We deliver in Kampala or on site, keep the discussion on the file and the rule, and note the questions that need an answer from management afterwards.

04

Leave the pack

We hand over slides, exercises, and a short note of themes from the room, so HR can brief anyone who missed it and file the record with other training.

Let’s connect

Discuss a management, governance, or procurement training programme. We will confirm the audience, the rules, and the pack you keep afterwards.
